ING-GRAD Ltd, as the main contractor of construction and craft works, participated in the project "Research, restoration and revitalization of the cultural heritage of Ilok-Vukovar-Vučedol". The works at the Vučedol archaeological site were carried out in the period from August 2009 to September 2012.
Vučedol is located on the right bank of the Danube, 4.5 km downstream from the centre of Vukovar. The archaeological-tourist park and the building of the Museum of Vučedol culture covers a little more than eight hectares, and the terrain is covered by forest and vineyards. The Vučedol project by designer Goran Rako from Zagreb's Workshop of Architecture d.o.o. included the construction of a new museum building perfectly integrated into the natural environment, the renovation of Villa Streim (heavily damaged in the Homeland War), its arrangement for the needs of the research centre, the construction of the Workshop of Old Crafts and the reconstruction of Megaron - Vučedolska acropolis on the site of the metallurgical workshop of the sanctuary in its original form.
