The subject of the project is the construction of XII Grammar School in Gornja Dubrava, Zagreb. The new grammar school, having the floor surface of 3,800 m2, will be constructed on an almost 15,000 m2 plot. The new grammar school will be capable of accommodating 480 students, and will include a basement, a sports hall, ground floor and first floor.
Public and administrative facilities will be situated on the ground floor, while the first floor will hold all educational facilities. There will be outdoor sports fields and a green belt with the entrance school square next to the school.
Transverse steel columns, that will continuously stretch around the entire building, will lend the school its characteristic look. Interior design is planned for maximum resistance to damage and ease of maintenance. Thus, the ground floor will be covered with prefabricated concrete panels, the floor will be constructed from prefabricated facade sheet metal panels, while exterior joinery will be made of aluminium and equipped with blinds.
