Primary School Ivanja Reka is located in the settlement Ivanja Reka, east of the City of Zagreb. It was a dream come true for the Ivanja Reka inhabitants who have waited for the school for years on end.
Primary School Ivanja Reka is constructed according to the top European and world standards; it is situated on a 30.000 m2 building plot while the surface area of the school is 7.850 m2 and it includes a three-segment sports and polyvalent hall. The school can accommodate 720 students attending classes in two shifts; it is staffed by appropriate professional as well as technical personnel.
The school environment is landscaped in line with its surroundings and it has all the facilities necessary for a quality health and physical education classes such as: running tracks, a football field, courts for basketball and volleyball, a putting circle, a long jump facility and similar.
A three-segment sports hall features nine courts (four for basketball, four for volleyball and one for handball), the state-of-the-art flooring and horizontally raised partition walls used for separating usable space.
The school is categorized into energy efficiency class A+. Such categorization is considerably contributed by a geothermal field spreading over more than 2.000 m2 maintaining the appropriate temperature in the rooms due to the increased external temperature.
